When a female reporter is found dead in her home, all signs point to suicide. However, something catches Captain Stottlemeyer's eye and calls in Monk and Natalie. Monk agrees that it was definitely a murder, and after a little investigating, he believes the killer to be an astronaut/national hero, Steven Wagner. One big problem; he was in space orbiting Earth at the time of the "suicide/homicide?". Monk, still certain that Wagner's the guy, must figure out how to prove to everyone that it was him, despite his airtight alibi.
