I thought I would start a thread where we could chat/go off about what we thought were or are some of the worse TV shows out there.
I have a long list but I will just start with one right off the bat.
I know Green Acres is considered a classic but I can't stand it! It took me a while to actually sit through a couple episodes the whole way through and when I did, I wanted the time back so bad! What is the point of this show?! Has anyone ever seen a funny episode?! I can't stand anything about it. Maybe it's just me but I think Green Acres is one of the worst shows in TV history. Anyone else want to comment about Green Acres or have a TV show that they think is just the pits! Tell us!

I like "Green Acres", so...
I think all those reality TV shows are crap. I don't find it entertaining at all. I think it's more humiliating. Sitcoms have gone down since "Seinfeld" went off the air, IMO. I don't know why people find "My Name is Earl" and "Arrested Development" so funny. Maybe it's because the crtitics tell them to watch, I don't know.

I never liked green acres much myself. I do have to agree though that most of the sitcoms are pretty lousy these days. The only new one that I watch is Rodney. I've been a fan of his comedy for years so I guess it's just natural. *shrugs*

I also liked Green Acres although I wouldn't say it's one of my favorites. I hate all the reality shows too. I once heard a comment that when TV was first born, all the shows featured no talent people doing boring things and now it has come full circle back to that. I hate talk shows, shows with "judges" and shows where scary lower class people cuss each other out and beat each other up! I hate TV Land's and GSN's original programming and I think they should have just stuck with what made them popular to begin with: Classic TV shows and Game Shows.

I can't stand reality TV shows. I am trying to figure out when TV went bad and I think it's right when these reality shows began. I have to turn the channel even when I see a commerical for one of these things.
We have this new cult of celebrity thing going on and everyone wants to be on TV for their 15 seconds of fame. I can't believe how bad TV has gone in the last 7 or 8 years. Terrible.
I heard a radio commercial for American Idol today and it said, "the number one TV show in all American hearts is back!" I had to grab the wheel because I nearly went into a ditch laughing.
I would rather watch reruns of "Life on a Stick". And that's bad.

Lol! I so totally agree! As bad as "Life on a Stick" was it is definitely preferable to reality TV!
I've been thinking about what you said about "Green Acres". I almost feel the same about "The Beverly Hillbillies". I used to really think it was hilarious, but now when I see it, I think "How could I have ever liked this? It is so stupid!" It's not that I exactly hate it, but I really do think it is dumb! Maybe I just outgrew it!
I really hate stupid characters on TV shows. As much as I like "Three's Company", I really hate the character of Chrissy Snow. No one on earth could be that much of an idiot! (Could they? I hope not!) I am one of the few people who think the show improved after Suzanne was fired!

Seventh Heaven...........I have never seen a show that tried to depict the perfect family to such extremes as this show. I had to watch a couple of episodes just to believe what my ears were hearing. In one episode I sat there in amazement as 28 year old maturity regarding family values came out of a 10 year olds mouth! Are you kidding me, no one talks like that. No family I know of in real life talks out family issues like that, no one.
At least the Ingalls in all their close knit family approach dealt with tornadoes (crop loss), day to day hardship, and winter storms with normal everyday stress and family arguing.

That show is going bye-bye. It got cancelled. And I agree. It is very boring, and worse at depicting family values than the "Brady Bunch".

I've never even watched it! Does anyone remember this show about a blended family of earthlings and aliens? And the baby of the family was this stupid looking alien baby? I can't remember the name or how long ago it was on, but it must have been one of the worst shows ever. I think it only aired once before it was canceled!

I just searched the IMDb for the show I was talking about and I think it was "Aliens in the Family" which aired 8 episodes in 1996. I was reading the user comments and people either thought it was utterly stupid (like me) or totally brilliant (go figure).

I don't remember that show. I don't think I've even heard of it. It sounded like it was pretty stupid.

I don't remember that one but I know I wouldn't give it the time of day if I had passed it switching channels.
Here is another one.
Reba. Does anyone watch this show? I passed it the other night and couldn't believe it.
