First of all, are you a Star Trek fan? If so, then listen up, err read up, err....well, you get the idea. LOL!
Kahn Noonien Singh is an evil S.O.B who tried to take over the world in the mid-1990s in the Star Trek timeline. He, as well as his followers plus many more who were killed in the Eugenics Wars of the 1990s, is a genetically engineered superman. Much the same as the supermen that Dr. Arik Soong(actor Brent Spiner; Star Trek:ENT) created as he tried to engineer the "perfect" human. What he doesn't understand is the fact that no creation is perfect. There are always flaws to everything and everyone. Data and his evil twin Lore are the creations of a descendant of Arik's, one Dr. NOONIEN Soong. Data is superior to humans and he knows it, but what makes him so special(in a good way) is that he "would gladly give it up to be human".(Quote from ST:TNG pilot, "Encounter at Farpoint") Dr. Noonien Soong continued in his ancestor's line of work to try and create the perfect human. He eventually did create "Lore"(the failure who turned on the colonists on the planet of birth and was shut down) and then created "Data" who, unlike Lore, was completely emotionless. The kind of android that Data is, many people would say he is the perfect human as is proved in many episodes of TNG. For example he cannot lie. No, I mean totally incapable of lying. And does not understand any negative emotions. He does, however, understand positive emotions like love, happiness, friendship, and even the neutral emotion, sadness.
Given all that, Data may seem "perfect" to us, but to him, no he's not. He wants to be human. "Whatever you say, pinnochio" remarks Cmdr. William Riker(Jonathan Frakes; pilot episode). His purpose for being is to strive to be more human. Khan/Data=evil/good Both are supermen. There's also A superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster who is not genetically engineered or engineered in any fashion. He, yes Clark Kent, IS mortal. Of course not human. Clark Kent, Data, Lore, Kahn Singh and all of his followers have super strength. Clark, however, is the only one who does not have superior intelligence.
End of mini essay.
