I was watching the NHL Playoffs tonight and one of the breaks I changed the channel only to see the show Becker. It was right at the point where they mentioned the show Wings. Becker is being questioned by a cop about where he was at a certain time and Becker mentions he was watching Wings. The cop says that doesn't help because Wings is on 15 times a day!
I have also heard this mentioned on Scrubs and I believe on Friends once.
Thought that was interesting since it was the third time I have heard it.

I vaguely remember it being mentioned on "The Nanny", but I can't remember the exact situation.

Yeah, I've seen that episode of Becker and off hand I think it's the only time I've heard it mentioned on other shows. It doesn't surprise me though since a lot of the same people involved in wings worked on Becker as well.

I don't remember Wings being mentioned on Friends. Which episode was it? Or do you remember?

It was either Friends or that Joey show. I never watched either of them but one of my female friends had it on once and Matt Leblanc said something like (refering to Wings) "you know, this show really got it right." Can't recall which episode it was though, sorry!

It was mentioned in a skit on "MadTV". Don't know what season or epiosde though. :\

In it, Fran's best friend Val gets a boyfriend and then has no time to spend with Fran. So Mr. Sheffield is trying to take Val's place, being Fran's best friend. He asks her what she and Val usually do on a Saturday night. One of the things they do is talk about good looking guys. Mr. Sheffield then says, "Well, that guy from Wings is pretty hot." Too bad we never find out which of the guys he was talking about. Joe? Brian? Lowell? Roy? lol. |

I've always thought this show was so quoteable and can't believe more people don't know about it. At least no one I ever ask seems to know what I'm talking about. I don't remember it being talked about on Friends. Have to pay more attention now! LOL!

I remember the episode from Scrubs. Matthew Perry from FRIENDS said it. He was working in the control tower and he said, Hey those Wings guys knew what they were talking about. or something like it.
