Quantum Leap fans have waited 15 years for a revival of the popular scifi drama in the form of a movie and/or series. Now they're about to get what they want. The purpose of the fan-film is to persuade NBC Universal and/or NCIS producer Donald Bellisario(creator/producer of Quantum) to revive the franchise by making a movie and/or series.
RACSO Films founder and director/producer of A Leap To Di For, Christopher Allen, said that he's up to the challenge of reviving the franchise. It is his gift to all Quantum fans all over the world. The movie is set to premiere at the 20th anniversary celebration of Quantum Leap(Leap Back 2009 convention) which is a momentous opportunity for all involved with the project seeing that the convention will be held at the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn in Los Angeles, CA. The actors will be seen ON SCREEN in yes, HOLLYWOOD! The show's Co-Executive Producer-head writer, Deborah Pratt is reprising her role as the temperamental hybrid computer known as Ziggy and will be attending the convention from March 27-29th, 2009 pending any unforeseen plans.
The film is dedicated to the late Princess Diana who tragically died in a car accident on August 30, 1997. Chris Allen says, "The story doesn't delve into her character, nor does it attempt to re-write anything...Diana will not be shown in a questionable light, instead she will be shown as a truly beautiful woman who died well before her time."
