When a childhood crush comes to Monk with a mysterious murder, he tries to win her heart by solving the case. It turns out, however, that the culprit of the break-in gone wrong(which turned out to be a murder that was not supposed to happen) was trying to find a way to get out of paying alimony to his ex-wife by hooking her up with an old boyfriend who happens to be an art restorer.
