Mr. Monk is upset that he was called for jury duty. Although he tries to get out of it, he does not succeed and winds up being juror #11(he wishes he was #10) on a robbery trial. After listening to all the facts and the evidence, all except one juror vote guilty. Monk feels that the evidence doesn't add up and it's up to him to convince the jurors to reconsider. Further complicating things, Monk finds a body in the dumpster outside while he's trapped in the juror room. He eventually finds out that the body is connected to the trial.
