So what is everyone doing this Halloween? It is kind of a downer that it falls on a Monday but this weekend is Halloween weekend and I am curious what everyone is doing. I had a couple of plans but you will never believe what I am actually going to do. Well, a friend of mine is really into the whole ghost thing and knows about some really life ghostbusters (as they call themselves) who actually go to haunted places in Minnesota. He checked out their web site and it so happens that one of the cemetery's in my hometown has actually been a place where people have seen weird things. It is a spooky place, everyone in my high school used to to there at one point and try to walk through it at night. It has a weird history. Any way, so him and I are going to go there with some kind of audio equipment tomorrow night and see what we can pick up. I have no idea how this works but apparently he does. I have to admit, this does sound really fun and I am looking forward to it. I am pretty sure we wont be the only ones there. Yep, 28 years old and still acting like a kid.....but loving it!!! ;D How about everyone else?! Parties, Taking their kids out, watching horror movies all night, night clubs???

Nope, no plans for me. I'm just going to stay in. I'll probably watch movies. As far as haunted places go, I believe my mom lives in a haunted house, because there have been strange occurances when I've been there in the past. I've seen shadows in the form of a person when no-one was in the room in question. I've seen those orb things floating around. Heard voices, things like that. It sounds like what you're going to be doing will be quite fun, and maybe a little creepy.

Wow, Brian Hackett, that is so totally cool! I wish I could join you! The paranormal has always been an interest of mine. Be sure to tell us what happens!
MonksGirl, I am always interested in stories about haunted sites. If you get a chance, post more stuff about your mom's house.
As for Dan's original question: I'm not doing much just staying in and watching the movie "I've Been Waiting For You". It's sort of a tradition. We watch it every Halloween.

Thought I would update everyone on my Halloween experience in the cemetery! Sorry this is so late, work has taken up all my time this past couple of weeks. We went out to the cemetery about 10:30 pm, the Saturday before Halloween. You basically just turn on the audio equipment and let it run while you are there. The whole idea of the equipment is that it picks up things you don't hear when you are there and later you play it back to see if anything happened. To make a long story short, when we got back and played the tape we did hear one thing that was kind of weird. At one point there was this loud snap that seemed like it was right next to the audio player. That kind of spooked us both out because at no point when we were out there did either of us hit the player or knock something into it. We actually put the player a little bit away from where we were. I am not sure what it was but it was kind of spooky. Just being out there was scary! It is a very creepy place and a lot of the scare/fun is psychological. I would definitely do it again tell anybody else to give it a try. It is fun when you go out there with a friend so that you can spook each other out even more. Sorry, I wish I could tell you that I heard a man tell me to get the hell away from his grave but nothing like that happened!! ;D

Oooh, spooky! I love to hear stories like this. You are right about the scare being psychological. Everytime I watch something scary on TV, then have to go to the bathroom, I can't stand seeing the open bedroom door with the dark room beyond it. It just really gives me the creeps, especially when I come out of the bathroom and have to turn my back to the dark room to go back down the hallway. But my common sense tells me there is nothing in there.

I agree, spooky. Maybe a spirit did it? Or quite possibly an animal? That wouldn't be spooky though.

Happy Halloween everyone!! ;D ;D
What is everyone doing for fun tonight........or was it done on Saturday night? I am going home and working on college homework..............yeah, scary. Just way too much to do during mid-term week right now. After that, I am watching the original Halloween..........still the scariest movie I have seen. Just don't want to hit the bars tonight, it gets way too busy.

We did head out on Saturday night for a party as Batman and Batgirl - we are doing it again tonight with handing out the candy to kids and then out to the bars - yes, I might look a little ridiculous, but we did it last year.
