I just watched Ghost Whisperer for the first time last Friday and I liked it.

I liked Seinfeld, Night Court and Perfect Strangers, too. I like most sit-coms unless they are totally stupid.

Stupid sitcoms.......like that new one this past summer with my favorite Wings girl Amy Yasbeck. Life on a Stick or something like that. Terrible, just terrible. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that. I was actually embarrassed for everyone involved with the show.
I really wish there would be some originality in TV these days.....I don't watch much TV anymore but what I do see seems like a carbon copy of the past or just like it is trying to hard for laughs. This goes back to why I loved Wings so much. The show didn't try for laughs, the laughs were there because of the incredible talent of the cast and the creative, original writing behind it.

I like those too.
I was really disappointed with "Life on a Stick" when I saw it. I was hoping Amy would have another hit, but knew immediately it wouldn't be this show! She deserves better.
I don't really like today's brand of television either, which is why I usually only watch classic TV shows.

Me too. One thing I am mad about is that last year they came out with the first season on DVD and now I find out that they are putting a best of DVD in Feb 2006. I think they are doing that because the sales were a little lower than expected and they want to see how many people buy it. I sure hope they keep putting out the seasons, it was one of the best comedies in my opinion.

Had to re-visit this thread and mention The Munsters! I have both seasons on DVD and really can't get enough of this show. I wish it would have been on the air a lot longer than it was.  |
