Oh it was aweful. Then it was Gavin Degraw, Counting Crows (that darn parkinglot cover song), etc. I was so happy when I got out of the mountains and could pick up a WPTC (Penn College radio)...lol

yeah, it's a cover song. I don't know who did it originally but I know that's at least the third cover of it out there.

That girl can't even sing. But since her show Lizzie McGuire was on Disney......Disney has been making their stars into "singers" ever since Annette Funicello, who was the first one to admit she couldn't sing. On her albums her voice was manipulated electronically. I notice many times Hilary Duff's sister Haylie sings with her. I think Haylie has a much better voice.

How sad is that! With all the money Disney makes (and it's a lot!), I am pretty sure that they could spend the money to pick someone up who can actually sing and has talent. Why they waste their time on that no talent clown beats the heck out of me. Another question (and what started my rant) is why these main music video channels play her stuff. This is why I don't watch music television anymore, it is full of this 13-19 year old no talent garbage! What is going on here!!!

Tell me about it! I can't stand MTV. It's all Hip-Hop - this, (c)Rap - that. At least VH1 is going to have some kind of Metal thing going on this month.

Yeah, MTV really started to suck in the late 90's. I remember I used to watch The Daily Grind, Alternative Nation and Headbanger's Ball. Then the next thing I knew it was all rap, hiphop and pop. It makes me wonder what John Sencio, Kennedy and all the other old VJ's are doing these days.

I agree. It has been all rap/hip hop now for over 6-7 years. MTV has sucked for a long time. VH1 is ok in my opinion, they have some of the same kind of crap shows MTV has but at least they play videos. MTV ran itself into the ground a long time ago. Tell you the truth, I don't know one person that watches it anymore. Wait a minute, I take that back. I know this Abercrombie and Fitch generation girl that watches it all the time and she also owns Jo Jo cd's. I think my point was just made.

Yeah, it is rare that they play videos. I remember it being all episodes of Road Rules and The Real World etc.
I used to like VH1 back in those days as well. Usually if I was in the mood for something on the lighter side I'd tune in VH1. I can't remember why but I stopped watching it. To be honest I haven't watched it in years. When I'm flipping through the channels I'll have to stop there and see what's on.

You know, I really just don't even like to watch videos anymore. And I used to listen to music constantly and now it just seems to get on my nerves. All kinds. I don't know what's happened to me!
Kennedy is hosting some kind of reality thing on that reality channel, I think. I just saw her, but can't remember exactly what it was.
And about Disney, I'm sure they choose one of their stars who is already popular on TV, then throw them into a singing career, whether they can sing or not. After all, these people appeal to a very young age group, and what do they know about singing talent? Most of them will listen to anything as long as their friends are listening to it.

One of the new Kelly Clarkson songs out there right now. Don't know the title, don't want to know the title, I just know it's terrible.
