Talk about people who played a guest role in an episode of Wings.
I'd like to start with David Ogden Stiers. I am a big fan of M*A*S*H and of course he played Charles Emerson Winchester III on that show. Remember the episode of Wings where Helen wants to audition for the famous conductor who is on his honeymoon? I can't remember the episode name offhand. Anyway David played the conductor. It was not a stretch for him, because David Ogden Stiers loves classical music and has conducted many symphonies in real life!
Anybody else have a guest star that was particularly memorable for them?

I would have to say William Hickey who of course played Carlton Blanchard. He was in so many movies and seemed to always play the old annoying man but every time he did, he pulled the roll off! I remember in one of the Academy Awards shows they had a memorial tribute to him and it was really well done.
Loved him on Das Plane!

Yeah, I really liked William Hickey, too. He played the character Carlton Blanchard to perfection!
Another guest star I really enjoyed seeing on Wings was John Ritter, because I was a fan of his from his work on Three's Company and also because he was Amy's real life husband. It was great seeing the two of them work together again!

John Ritter was great in that episode! It was fun watching John and Amy acting together, they definitely had chemistry and were hilarious together.

Yes, I like to see relatives as guest stars anyway. I also enjoyed seeing Tim Daly's wife Amy Van Nostrand in the episode where Joe and Helen try to be friends with another married couple, but are so clingy they drive the other couple away.

I, too, enjoyed William Hickey as Carlton. I thought Tim Daly's sister, Tyne was also good as the older rich woman that Brian had a relationship with.

Yes, she was. Another guest spot done by a relative of one of the stars! There was a guest in one of the episodes, I'll have to look up which one it was, that has the same name as me! Most of you know my first name, but this actress had my last name, too! I thought that was pretty cool. She just had a bit part, I think she bought a ticket or something like that.

I also enjoyed the couple of episodes where Roy's wife Sylvia was on. I think the actress who played her was Concetta Tomei. I thought she had some good one liners.
Sylvia - "Oh my God, it's you!"

Yeah, she was really good. Why in the world did she ever marry Roy to begin with? And another thing I always wondered. When Roy was letting people think his wife had died, did R.J. also think his mother was dead?

Good question! I never even thought of that one.

Of course it was also interesting when the characters from Cheers crossed over and guested on Wings. I particularly liked Cliff and Norm. The episode with Frasier and Lilith was funny (mostly because of Helen), but those two characters sort of get on my nerves.
