I recently bought Northern Exposure season three and as some of you might know Valerie Mahaffey is in some of the episodes playing the part of Eve who is Adam's (played by Adam Arkin) wife. Of course she plays a hypochondriac. The first ep she's in involves a kidnapping and shackles. I'll leave it at that so I don't spoil it. Infact, the character is very similar to Sandy Cooper. I'm starting to wonder if she's typecast for these roles... If anyone wants to see her first NX episode just say so and I'll put it on my server and pm you the link ;D I highly recommend it cuz it's hilarious.

Know what you mean. She was on some other show in the 80's that I can't remember the name of and the character was like that. The only thing I ever saw her on where she wasn't like that was when she guested on Cheers.

She was also in The Halloween Episode of Quantum Leap. She was one of the suspects of all the strange things that happened in the episode. There is a major plot twist in that ep at the very end. If you want to know any more I'll have to PM you. My point is though, she was supposedly a nut like she was on Wings. There are pics of her on the episode page @ the link above.
