Absolutely, yeah!
I have a million relatives on my father's side that live in Phoenix. Most of them I have never met before, as I've never been to Phoenix.

I used to live alot closer to Phx. In Tempe, right down the road from Az State University. Now that was a more interesting place to be! But then I bought this piece of property out here in the boondocks......

I was thinking of going to Arizona State University years back. A couple people I know went there and just loved it.

Yep, I loved Tempe! There was always cool stuff to do there. The Old Town is really cool and now they have made Tempe Town Lake and they have all kinds of things going on there. We have a man-made lake close to where I live called Lake in the Desert, but I've never gone there because it's mostly for fishing and that really isn't my thing.

No leaky roofs but a lot of rivers overflowing and ditches still full of water. And it stormed last night!!!!! Waiting for dry weather is an understatement.

Rain can be somewhat exciting here since we don't get much. I don't like the wind that usually precedes it though. Right now at approx. 4:30 PM, it is 93 degrees. But it is breezy so it doesn't feel too bad.

I've never been to the southwest but I've always wanted to compare say 97 degrees in the arid air and the 97 degress with 99% humidity we get here in July and August. I always thought if I could move anywhere in the country I'd move to the southwest somewhere. Probably Nevada or Arizona or possiby the gulf coast of Texas also. I figure it would be good for me since I have a slight case of seasonal affectional disorder and my allergies go nuts in the spring and fall.

I complain alot about how hot it gets here, but 7 years ago I was in Kentucky during the month of June and honestly I could not take the humidity there. I got an infection in my ear because of it. 97 isn't bad here, it's when it gets to 115 or above and you don't have AC that is really bad. We have evaporative cooling. I don't know if you've ever heard of it or not. It seems to be something only we have in this state! It doesn't work at all when the humidity gets up in the slightest, which it does here durning monsoon season.

I've never heard of evaporated cooling, hmmm. You're probably right, it's something that only exists there.
