I thought I would start a thread titled favorite season(s) of the year.
Reason I am thinking of this tonight is because I live in Minneapolis and we are getting a massive snowstorm. I have never been a big fan of winter but love living in Minnesota because I get to experience the four seasons.
I have two favorite seasons, summer and spring. I love spring because life seems to come back. Birds start singing again and leafs turn green again. I love summer because I love hanging out around the lakes. Anything from fishing, camping, hiking, boating, or even rollerblading around the lake, I love summer!
How about everyone else?

Autumn for me. I love seeing the leaves change color, especially at their peak. Spring is fine as long as it doesn't turn into an early summer, like this past one, or my allergies flare up. Summer can be okay as long as it isn't hot and humid, again like this past one. I prefer it when it's more mild, when the temperature is around 75 degrees, which is rare. LOL Don't get me started on winter. I HATE winter! Right now it looks like there's a foot of snow out there, and lately the temps have been above 0 for highs. >

Fall is my favorite season, too, although we don't see leaves turning where I live. But it is the end of the long hot summer. I don't mind winter because it doesn't snow here and usually isn't too cold, but it's not to far to drive if you want to ski or do other winter sports. That's not really my thing, though! I'm not crazy about summer in AZ because it gets too hot to go outside and do anything, although I'm sure I would love it if I lived somewhere else!

Well one of my favorite times of the year is coming and on Friday wow was I excited. It hit 56 here and we haven't seen that since last November. Now we are under a winter storm warning and expecting 6-10 inches. Darn it, I am not a big March fan when this happens.

We have already had temps as high as 83 degrees here a couple of days. It was chilly and rainy this weekend though. I guess our drought is over. I hate rain. It's so depressing.

Then you wouldn't have wanted to have been here last night, AeroMess. There were severe thunderstorms and tornado watches/warnings all night long because of the warmer temperatures that happened during the weekend. I hate it when the weather is like that. It's scary. And I guess today it's going to snow. :\

I saw all that severe weather you were having and I really wanted to be there. I storm chase in the summer so that kind of stuff interests me. We had 10 inches of snow. It is supposed to get warm next week and I can't wait because I want this gone!

EEK! Ten inches?! There's supposed to be a snow storm headed this way tomorrow night into Thursday. Could be five inches, at the most, but that's trite compared to ten.
I don't think I have the gumption to chase storms. Particularly if they're causing tornadoes.

We must be looking at the same storm MonkeyGirl. We are staring at another 5 tomorrow before the warm up hits. Yuck, this crap in March bothers me.

I'm glad I'm in Arizona. Although it did snow at 3000 feet and I guess all the skiers are happy. It's raining a little again today, but it's alternating with sun, so that's not too bad.

I wish I was in Arizona! Say, is it true that your huge drought might finally be over. Didn't you finally get rain after about a 4 month drought? I was watching the Weather Channel the other day and they mentioned that.

Yes, that's right. I for one could have done without the rain. It brings weeds to my yard! You might wish you were in AZ now, but how about this summer when it is 115 degrees? Lol!

You who live in a colder climate will probably laugh at me, but it's cloudy, windy, and 66 degrees here right now and I"m COLD!

No, I won't laugh. Sixty-six degrees would be cold/chilly where you are. For me, it would be considered "balmy". LOL
